After an extensive career managing teams responsible for bookkeeping and payroll, Lori took an opportunity to apply her knowledge and go into the Government Contracting business in 2016. As this task was coming to an end, Lori joined The OutFit, Inc. in October of 2018 as a Project Support Specialist. Supporting the staff on her team while learning more about Government Contracting became very important as she could see how their efforts directly affected our troops and their families.
Seeing the commitment from The OutFit’s leadership to the Mission and employees, made it easy for Lori to pursue a position in the Finance Department when it became available in February of 2019. Through continued growth and opportunity, Lori was promoted to Chief of Business Operations in January of 2022.
That same year, Lori decided to renew her real estate license that she originally obtained several years ago. After taking the needed courses to test again, she made an appointment on a Saturday without telling anyone, retested, and passed the State and National exams, and became licensed again! Since then, her passion for real estate has been renewed through not only the support of her broker, Louise Stoever Baumann with Running S Realty, but her current employer, as well as friends and family alike.
Lori is happily married to Guy West, and has two children, Micah Berry, 28 (DIL \342\200\223 Chey) and Tyce DiStefano, 13. She loves the sun and spending time on the water with her family and friends, from the lake to the river, to the coast. She is a proud member of the non-profit, Dewville Social Club, who helps raise money to support local families in need, youth organizations, scholarships with proceeds raised from The Gary West Memorial Golf Tournament, as well as St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital, in the fight against childhood cancer, through our annual Baker’s Boil and partnership with Sky High for Kids.
