Matt Buckley is a Butte native and a lifelong Montana resident. A graduate of Carroll College where he
participated in football, boxing and rodeo, Matt went on to teach English up on Montana’s high line in
the towns of Shelby and Choteau before returning to Butte where he completed his career. He also
coached football and wrestling. A lifelong horseman, for twenty years Matt operated an outfitting and
guide business at Fairmont Hot Springs located between Butte and Anaconda, Mt. Matt made many
friends as he guided them thru the mountains of southwest Montana via horseback either on
sightseeing ventures or in search of elk. For over forty years, Matt has been a professional horseshoer
and trainer of young horses. He walks with a marked limp to prove it. Matt became a licensed real
estate agent in the summer of 2001. He loves the business as it gives him the freedom to earn and learn
while helping people.
