After 40 years in St. Augustine, Vicki Brown is well-versed not only in the immediate St. Augustine area but also in the surrounding areas of Hastings, Elkton, and Crescent City. In fact, as an equestrian enthusiast, her specialty is farms, ranches and large land parcels. She says, “I specialize in horse properties. Because I’ve been in the NE area of Florida in the horse world. I have the inside scoop on horse ranches when they are initially going on the market. Additionally, I understand the nuances of the St. Johns County’s comprehensive Land Use Plan as well as the zoning laws."
"My grandfather was her greatest mentor and the reason I gravitated towards a career in real estate. He owned a 300 Acre horse farm in Mandarin and was one of the original five people that started Burnett Park \342\200\223 Southside Saddle Club. My grandfather (Pop Carter) said \342\200\223 there's only one thing that man can’t make, and God isn’t reproducing it \342\200\223 land \342\200\223 and if you want horses, you have to have land.”
Even though her grandfather passed before Vicki got her real estate license, one of his closest friends financed Vicki through the process of getting her Sales-Associate License in 1986. Vicki spent ten years working with Jim Watson and later, Richmond American in the Heritage Park and Whisper Ridge subdivisions. She moved on to run Terry Pacetti’s modular home division before settling into her current brokerage, CENTURY 21 St. Augustine Properties, where she has been successful for the last 13 years. It’s no secret that land is being bought up quickly in the area. Vicki purchased 60 acres in the Crescent City area where her cattle ranch is today and she also owns another four acres off State Road 16. She recently obtained her Broker-Associate license in 2021.
