Hello, my name is James Burton, I am a REALTOR, owner, broker, & vintner of CENTURY21 Marathon. I have been in the real estate business since 2007. In July 2015 I opened Marathon Real Estate LLC. I have been in the real estate business for over thirteen years. In that time, I have seen it all. No matter your situation, I can find a way to find the property you want and make your deal work. I enjoy helping first time home buyers, and find it rewarding, helping them find their first home.
I find that real estate affords me the freedom to spend more time with my kids. I also enjoy off-roading in my Jeep, and making wine & beer. I am a disabled army veteran and have a VA loan. I also have a teaching license for middle & high school social studies.
Real Estate is an ever-evolving field. To stay atop market & industry changes, I take Real Estate Education and Continuing education very seriously. The following are official NAR (National Association of REALTORS) designations & certifications. I go beyond maintaining licensure requirements, to increase my scope of real estate knowledge including aspects such as residential real estate, real estate team management, and broker management. These classes and seminars, help teach me cutting edge technological aspects such as modern media, social media, video production, and drone & real estate photography. The result of such education is the accumulation of officially recognized Nation Association of REALTORS, designations & certifications.
