I moved to beautiful Nevada County over 20 years ago from Southern CA to raise my children outside of the hustle bustle of the city life style. I am very familiar with the schools and activities that are available for children and adults. From my experience this is a great place to raise children.  Nevada County is also a big attraction for those that are entering into retirement or just want to live within the beauty that the Sierra Nevada Foothills offers.
 
The Sierra Nevada Foothills offer a unique array of historic charm and scenic beauty, yet it is an easy drive to San Francisco or Lake Tahoe.  A few of the more populated places in Nevada County are Nevada City, Grass Valley, Alta Sierra, Lake Wildwood, Lake of the Pines and Penn Valley, I work in all of these areas!  The Sierra Foothills is a beautiful area surrounded by trees, mountains, lakes and the river. Plenty of out door activities are available, just to name a few: snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, horse back riding, swimming in the river, boating and fishing.
