Kelly Huston
Helping you find more than just a house, helping you find home.
Born and raised in Alaska, I've always loved mountain living. The views, the peace, the independence, and the unique challenges that come with it. I understand firsthand what it takes to buy property and build in the mountains, because I've done it myself. Purchasing land and building a home here in East Tennessee while still living over 4,000 miles away, I know what it's like to relocate, plan from afar, and make big decisions with trust and vision.
Before becoming a REALTOR®, I spent 21 years serving as a police officer in Anchorage, Alaska. Many of those years as a trained crisis negotiator and team leader, supervisor over all new recruits, and coordinator of a department-wide peer support team. My law enforcement career taught me the power of communication, problem-solving, and being a steady presence during uncertain times. Today, I bring that same level of care and responsiveness to my work in real estate.
Whether you're looking for your first home, a quiet piece of land to build on, or selling a property that's been in the family for years, I'm here to help guide you through every step of the process. Clients appreciate how available, honest, and committed I am and I take pride in delivering an experience that feels both professional and personal. I've always valued someone who admits when they don't have an answer but promises to find it; this is something I vow to do for my clients, too.
A little more about me:
- Master's degree in Public Administration
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and negotiation skills
- Raised in a military family with values rooted in honesty, hard work, and making your word and a handshake mean everything
- First-hand experience with long-distance moves and custom builds
- Passionate about helping people settle into life in East Tennessee
After being there for people on some of their hardest days, I'm honored now to walk with them through one of their best.
When I'm not helping clients, you'll likely find me binge-watching a good show, floating in the pool, working in the yard while listening to an audiobook, baking any and everything, or spending time with my husband (also a retired Alaska police officer now proudly continuing his service here as a K9 handler and trainer), our two kids, and our pack of French Bulldogs.
Thinking about making a move in or to East Tennessee≠ I'd love to help you feel right at home.
