I am Cindy Thornhill, an Associate Broker at CENTURY21 New Millennium in Culpeper, Va. Allow me to take a minute and tell you why I can help you with your next real estate transaction. I have a very diverse set of experiences that have shaped me into the real estate professional that I am today, from finance to new construction to marketing expertise with more than 25 years in the business. I love helping people with one of the biggest decisions in their life—where to live—and pride myself on being organized and giving every transaction the attention it needs. It is fulfilling to walk through the process with someone and to match their vision with a place for them to call home. Upon graduating from Virginia Tech, I worked in the banking system. After ten years of working in the corporate world of finance, I made the transition into real estate. There, I learned the art of the sale and honed my customer service skills. We prided ourselves on responding to customer’s questions and requests with lightning speed. Even now, that principle continues to be an important part of my commitment to customers. In 1995, I was recruited through a friend at the local builders association into the world of residential construction. My construction experiences expanded my skill set into another aspect of the real estate world. I have worked with a group of Construction Superintendents over the last 15 years and have learned the finer details of building a new home. I have sold well over 250 new homes. This know-how inspired me to successfully get a Virginia Class A Contractor’s license. My base of expertise and knowledge includes residential and farm properties as well as commercial real estate where I hold an advanced degree known as the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the National Association of Realtors. My other certifications include Certified Marketing Professional and Certified Graduate Builder. Whether helping people buy or build a home, just watching their sense of pride in home ownership is truly a fulfilling occupation.
